Memahami Arti dan Istilah Penamaan Lensa DSLR Nikon

Aturan penamaan lensa Nikon kadang cukup membingungkan, karena mereka menggunakan huruf dan singkatan untuk mengenali komponen-komponen lensa. Dalam artikel ini kita akan mengenal singkatan-singkatan yang dipakai dalam lensa Nikon, sehingga akan mudah bagi anda mengerti spesifikasi lensa hanya dengan melihat namanya, cukup berguna terutama saat kita akan membeli sebuah lensa.

AF

Singkatan dari Auto Focus, artinya lensa bisa fokus secara otomatis melalui kamera.

AF-D – Auto Focus with Distance Information

Artinya same seperti AF dengan tambahan bahwa lensa mampu mengirim informasi jarak antara obyek foto dan lensa ke kamera yang oleh kamera akan dipakai untuk menentukan metering

SWM – Silent Wave Motor

Lensa dengan nama ini memiliki kemampuan mengganti fokus dari auto focus ke manual focus secara cepat hanya dengan memutar focusing ring, tanpa harus mengganti mode focusing seperti hanlanya di lensa AF-D

AF-S – Auto Focus Dengan Silent Wave Motor

Lensa AF-S memiliki motor didalamnya sehingga bisa bekerja dengan semua jenis kamera DSLR Nikon yang tidak memiliki motor sendiri; kamera ini antara lain: D40/D40X, D60, D5000.

IF – Internal Focusing

Lensa mampu mencari fokus secara cepat hanya dengan menggerakkan elemen-elemen internal tanpa harus menggerakkan barel lensa (tanpa harus menggerakkan dan atau memanjangkan bagian depan lensa). Lensa dengan fitur IF mampu mencari fokus lebih cepat dibandingkan lensa non IF, lensa ini antara lain: Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR II dan Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II.

RF – Rear Focusing

Cara lensa mencari fokus adalah dengan menggerakkan elemen internal di bagian belakang lensa.

G

Jika anda melihat huruf G dibelakang aperture lensa, misalnya: Nikon 50mm AF-S f/1.4G, artinya bahwa lensa tersebut tidak memiliki ring untuk mengatur aperture. Hampir semua lensa modern Nikon bertipe G.

Micro

Artinya sama dengan Macro, artinya lensa dengan spesialisasi untuk fotografi makro (jarak dekat).

PC-E – Perspective Control with Electronic Diapragm

Memungkinkan teknik tilt-shift, alias lensa bisa digeser dan dibengkokkan.

ED – Extra Low Dispersion

Adalah lensa dengan chromatic aberration minimal, lensa ini tidak menyebarkan cahaya yang membuat munculnya chromatic aberration di foto.

DC – Defocus Control

Lensa dengan fitur ini memungkinkan kita mengontrol bokeh, yang biasanya bagus untuk foto potret.

VR – Vibration Reduction

Memungkinkan kita menggunakan lensa dalam shutter speed yang rendah hanya dengan memeganngya tanpa harus membutuhkan tripod. Lensa dengan VR dilengkapi dengan sensor gerakan yang mendeteksi pergerakan tangan dan kemudian mengkompensasinya sehingga bisa meminimalisir blur.

SIC – Super Integrated Coating

Lensa dengan fitur ini mampu menghasilkan warna yang lebih bagus dan biasanya mampu mengeliminir ghosting dan flare.

N – Nano Crystal Coat

Huruf N biasanya ditampilkan dengan stiker emas dibagian atas. Lensa dengan nano crystal coat mampu meminimalkan ghosting dan internal flare sehingga foto yang dihasilkan bisa lebih jernih (clarity).

Dx

Lensa dengan huruf DX berarti lensa tersebut khusus didesain untuk digunakan dengan kamera DX milik Nikon seperti D3000/D5000/D90/D300s. Lensa DX juga bisa dipakai dikamera full frame Nikon (FX), hanya resolusi foto yang dihasilkan hanya separuhnya.

Contoh:

nikon 24mm lensa
Jika anda amati lensa pada foto diatas, nama resminya adalah “AF-S Nikkor 24mm 1:1,4G ED”, bisa kita baca bahwa ini adalah lensa Nikon (Nikkor = Nikon) dengan panjang focal 24mm dengan aperture minimum f/1.4, memiliki auto-focus didalamya yang dilengkapi dengan Silent-wave motor (AF-S), tanpa ring aperture (G) dan menggunakan gelas dengan dispersi sangat rendah (ED). Huruf N besar disamping kanan berarti ia menggunakan Nano Crystal Coat.

Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 11 Platinum Software With 3D

This week Sony updated its consumer video-editing application, Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11, with the ability to edit and preview 3D video content. The new version adds support for MVC and MPO 3D file formats, and lets digital movie editors preview 3D productions without the need for 3D display setups.

The software sells for $99.95 and is available at sonycreativesoftware.com. It still includes all the 2D high-definition and standard-definition video-editing capabilities. The software can output movies to formats accepted by devices and services such as the Sony PSP, Apple iPod, YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook.

"The easier it becomes to capture high-definition video on mobile devices, the more people are interested in editing that footage into movies that they can send to their family and friends," said Dave Chaimson, vice president of global marketing for Sony Creative Software. "Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 provides professional-level tools and expanded support that allow consumers to create videos and share them with others in their social networks."

Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 also adds audio event effects, a new title, and text plugin with animations, a new video effect plug-in SDK, and GPU-accelerated AVC encoding (using either Nvidia or AMD hardware), to speed work with the popular AVC HD video format. Dialogs for creating new movies, rendering, and movie creation have also been improved for better ease of use and productivity.

High-Definition Editing and Output
